Chaun's Story

My background in formal Canine education and experience goes back over 20 years, not to mention years of volunteering as a youth. A Canine Behavior and Training Certification holds great value working with Trish King for over 3 years, a national and highly respected behaviorist and trainer. My extensive puppy knowledge came from several years as a puppy socializer with CCI (Canine Companions for Independence) CCI as well, entrusted my care for as many as 14 dogs at a time in their Breeder Kennels. I am a graduate with honors at Bergin University with a degree in Assistance Dog Education and trained several Service Dogs for Bonnie Bergin who was the founder of CCI and the mother ship of the idea of Service Dogs for the disabled 47 years ago. Temperament testing for various shelters for 6 years including Kootenai Humane Society, training at Marlin County Humane Society in CA and Lead Dog Trainer at Petco in Coeur d' Alene and Spokane Valley, plus hundreds of hours of private lessons brings a multitude of many dog breeds, all sizes, personalities and ages, through my hands and heart.

Currently several pet dogs who have achieved the status of Therapy Dog and Search and Rescue have built their foundation of excellence through my training. Over 50 dogs have achieved their Canine Good Citizen or S.T.A.R. Puppy status with AKC through my training program.
